今天是12月24日，是西方国家的圣诞节，是基督教徒的节日。但在中国，圣诞节已经在中国民间开始广为渲染，越来越多的企事业、年轻人参与到这个节日派对中，大街小巷随处可见圣诞老人、圣诞树。可能在很多人脑海里，并不知道这个节日的来历，甚至纪念的对象。或许你经常会收到很多人发来的圣诞祝福，今天也会有很多人对你说：Merry christmas! 也许你会欣欣然，尽管你不是基督教徒。但是对于你的国际朋友，最好注意对方的身份，如果不是基督教徒，说出Merry chirstmas是很不适合的，甚至可能招来对方的反感。

对于基督教徒朋友可以这样祝福：
May all the joys and blessings of Christmas be yours, and may the coming year bring you prosperity and happiness!

对于非基督教徒就不适用上面的语句，以下可供参考：
May all the joys and blessings of the holiday season be yours, and may the coming year bring you prosperity and happiness!
